Ingredients:

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 8 oz elbow macaroni (or high-protein pasta)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

What You’ll Need

A large pot works well for boiling the pasta, and a nonstick skillet is perfect for glazing the chicken.

Directions:

  1. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, and garlic powder.
  3. Heat a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken pieces and cook for 5-6 minutes until browned.
  4. Pour the honey mixture over the chicken and cook for another 2-3 minutes, until the chicken is glazed and cooked through.
  5. In the same pot used for the pasta, melt the butter over low heat. Stir in the milk and shredded cheese until smooth and creamy.
  6. Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce and stir to combine.
  7. Fold in the honey glazed chicken.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with parsley if desired.

Notes: For extra protein, use a high-protein or chickpea-based pasta.
